Dreamed with flying like a bird? put on your WingSuit and try my game: FreeFall!
Sunday, April 28th, 2013 7:53 pmFreeFall has been developed in 24hours with Unity Game Engine, to be honest, I had a first idea but I didn’t like it as much as I like this one so I deleted the old idea and just started with this idea, so there could be some confusion at the start (because I didn’t have time to do a tutorial level) and some lack of working on the main menu or the interface in general ![]()
Convining 2D and 3D aspects it has given to my little game a
cool look (I think :3).
The game: You are in control of a guy with a WingSuit. You have two options:
a) Fall down in your way and just don’t worry about checkpoints and time, and arrive to the goal without risk.
b) Fall down going through checkpoints and caring about your time AND try to arrive to the goal WITH risk.
– There are 15 Checkpoints, and it is really difficult to go through all 15, but at least, if you accomplish it you will get AN AWESOME RANK! CONTROLS –
*\– ARROW KEYS –/*
Up – Boost (Increases your fall speed).
Left & Right – Rotates and moves a little the character.
*\– OTHER KEYS –/*
R – Restart the fall.
SPACE – Open the Parachute (if you don’t open it before you hit the ground you will die and the fall will be restarted! So keep an eye where are you falling, and don’t open it so soon, it will be boring if you do it, trust me!)

So put on your WingSuit and try FreeFall!

Gravity Nano – Released for Free
Monday, October 29th, 2012 2:26 amLadies & Gentlemen,
This morning, I’ve released my October Challenge game FOR FREE. Why? The result is not really fun. I’ve made games in 48h that have more of the fun-fact than this one month work.. I don’t know why. But the reason of the post is that I have released Gravity Nano, finally. FOR FREE.
Gravity Nano is a jump n’ dodge-style platform game that consists in get the maximum score in the Leaderboards. The “magic” of this game is the abailability to change the gravity orientation to your favour. It’s pretty simple, with the up and down arrow keys.
In fact there is only one object that is really important and that is the Leaderboards! You will gain popularity by being in the first 10 positions with other Nanos like you. Earn more score match by match and be the first Nano in the Leaderboards!
Again I will say that this is not the result I want. But I feel like I just want to release this and put a final. I will continue updating the game, ofcourse and probably in a future, when I have more experience, I’ll do a remake. But this is the result for now.
The game is available to play on PC, MAC & Linux. You can play it HERE.
ALSO, if you want and ONLY if you want you can give me a donation to support me, moral and physically. The big donation button is in the GAME SITE.
Thanks for reading me again, and again and for giving me support, because I feel that I’m not alone and that my games will be improving and growing month by month. Because I don’t want to stop making games and I WANT to work making them games.
Regards,
Midgard.

Deal with It “Speedrun” video.
Monday, August 27th, 2012 2:12 pmHi again ladies and gentlemen.
I’ve made a Speedrun video gameplay for my game “Deal with It” that a lot of people can’t get to the final boss. So to get a correct puntuation I’ve made that video:
My second Ludum Dare Experience
Sunday, August 26th, 2012 9:49 pmHi again ladies and gentlemen,
This was my second Ludum Dare Compo experience, the first one was really a F A I L in big and bold letters, because I made my first Ludum Dare without experience, and the result was an unfinished-plenty of buggs-game.
But this second time, I’ve get an infinite better experience, that was funny to develope a game in 48hours this time, was entertaining and really I feel satisfied by my game (Deal with It – is the game name).
It feels like “Oh my god! I finally finished a game in 48hours! I HAVE DONE IT!” and after that It feels like “There’s a lot of people that accomplished the same”. That is a great experience, the good community of Indie Game Developers of Ludum Dare has converted the stress and frustration of making a game in 48 hours totally in HAPPYNESS, this is fucking magic.. it’s the magic of Ludum Dare…
Before the Theme was announced, I was like “Oh my god PLEASE 1000 KITTENS GIMME THIS THEME” I had planned a survival game.. if the theme was 1000 kittens I’ve probably made a character that was a Rat, and the 1000 kittens want to eat him but you maybe will survive.. or anything like that.. But really the EVOLUTION theme breaked me. At least at the start, at the brainstorm because I had ZERO IDEAS.
But after that I remind Spore, and I started the planning of an rpg cell wars. But after 5 minutes of planning I discovered that I probably can’t finish a game like that in 48hours.. so I started to make the impossible platformer, now known as “Deal with It” because really was a simple idea, but I think and hope that was a funny idea.. I put’d my humor style in it and I feel really satisfied now…
Now I feel more satisfied, because I’m viewing all the people’s commentaries in my entry.. I’ve done a good work and probably a lot of people are enjoying a thing that I MADE. Fucking awesome AGAIN.
So I created this post only for share my magic experience.
Hope see you all soon, thanks for reading,
Midgard.
First round of fixes for Deal with It!
Sunday, August 26th, 2012 10:34 am
THANKS in big and bold for the people who played my game project for this Ludum Dare Edition!
There has been some fixes and changes for the game (I hope the last ones!):
- Now, if you get stuck’d you can press “R” and your character will respawn like normally if you die (if you press “R” the deaths count will not increase! Don’t worry
).
- You can mute the songs like normally in Firefox too (it haves a 1 second delay, but it mutes
).
- Added “Jump” and “Die” sounds.
- Fixed a bug that takes you from level 2 to 3 without move and from level 4 to 6 without move too. You will need to touch the goal now to pass to the next level :3.
So if you see any other bug, don’t wait to post on the Entry comments! I will see it and fix it!
I can see you… PLAYING!
Thanks for reading,
Midgard.
Deal with It
Sunday, August 26th, 2012 6:43 amhttp://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-24/?action=preview&uid=11046

Hi again ladies and gentlemen!
“Deal with It” is finally out! If you like the impossible platformer games THIS IS YOUR GAME!
You can test it HERE or see the Source HERE.
There are some screenshots

Have fun and try to not die too many times! If you like you can post your deaths in each levels in the entry comentaries!
Deal with It
Saturday, August 25th, 2012 5:56 pm
So, what’s up people? This is my game project, this is a great update because the game is finished right now. Now I will polish it in the hours that are left.
But, the mechanics and the game in general are fine and It’s really playable now.
If you like the impossible platformer games this IS YOUR GAME!
So, there are some screenshots.
The main menu:

The main menu is composed by two buttons and a strange creature that talks to us, the first button is the “GO PLAY” button and the second button.. uhm I’m talking too much. It’s a surprise!
The main conversation with your high bro:

After you say “Strong? how strong?” There is a surprise answer by your brother. But it’s another surprise, you would play the game to discover what is it
And the third screenshot, it is in-in-game and it shows you how bad I am:

The secret in this in-in-game screenshot is the black blood. When you die, the black blood appears, impiding you to see well on where are you jumping. So it’s a difficultie of the game, just try to don’t die a lot of times – like me :3
There is a final boss that kills you a lot of times before you can kill him. So keep an eye on my game!
So that’s all for now, tomorrow I will release the game for you guys, and I hope you enjoy it the much I enjoy’d developing it. So be sure to search “Deal with It” in the game entry zone tomorrow!
Thanks for reading,
Midgard.
What do you think will happen?

A little screenshot of a conversation that is in my LD24 game
Good night bros.
Second time in LD!
Thursday, August 9th, 2012 6:49 pmI think anyone should remind me, I was in LD23 Compo, and I was developing a game in 48hours with Blender Game Engine, the things was not really succeful with my LD23 game, but hey! I will try another time, with another engine and with another type of art!
I hope to see a good theme again, like in LD23!
I’m going to use:
Graphics of the game: Photoshop & Aseprite.
Engine: Construct2.
Language: Javascript.
Audio: Sunvox (AGAIN!)
Notes, game planning in general: NotePad++.
Last time I’ve streamed, this time probably yes, again if XSplit doesn’t go bad.
If you want to see my LD23 game (it’s really a poor entry, but I grow’d up as person, I think this time would be really good than the first try!) you can do it here:
http://devmidgard.com/ludumdare/23/atinyworldhero.rar
And the warmup:
http://devmidgard.com/ludumdare/23warmup/ShipInvaders.rar
All two are only available in windows (first time
, this second time will be available for all, via html5!)
So hope all goes fine to all and good luck also to all who participates in this amazing event!
A Tiny World Hero Progress
Saturday, April 21st, 2012 12:33 pmSo, finally, the game will be a Tower Defense with big enemies.
Today, I don’t worked the hard I expected, but the price of that is don’t sleep this night.
Today, I have prepared the map, added some sprites, and maked a combat system (not finished yet) but I think I will upload the game with full of details (if I can!)
Thanks for all the viewers on my stream (www.twitch.tv/devmidgard), this night I will be streaming all night.
And, a bonus screenshot.
CHICKEN INVASION!

A Tiny World Hero
Friday, April 20th, 2012 8:44 pmFor my first time, I think it’s looking cool (for now), I have started a game project called “A Tiny World Hero”, it would be a mini-linear history about a Tiny Hero, in a Tiny world, defeating a big monster (maybe, a dragon?), it will be very simple but I think that can be funny to play.
So, for the first 2 hours I have done the player set up and some tileset for the terrain and for a castle.
Here is a screenshot of how it’s looking in 2 hours.

So, right now I will go to sleep 5 hours, and then I will work hard tomorrow (today).
Thanks for this great event,
- Mid.

Monday, April 9th, 2012 11:58 pmHi all, I’m Midgard, I’m learning to develope indie games, so I’m trying to do my best on this event, that’s very impressive for me, because a lot of developers participate in that.
For my first year, I will go with:
- Blender 2.6x.
- NotePad++ & Geany.
- Photoshop for making the textures.
- Sunvox, for in-game sounds and bso.
So, thanks for let me participate in this great event, I’m waiting so hard to start the 48h non-stop!
