I’m in!
This will be a small browser game to test Construct 2.
Other means: Gimp, SFXR, a Microphone and Paint.net.
Good luck!
Finished
Yeah, we finally have a completed game for our first LD jam!
This has been a lot of fun – Now I am courious what you guys did with the theme!

Happy testing!
Back and progress
Hello! Glad to see the website back up.
Here is some progress from yesterday. This is a jam entry I am creating with my cousins and brother. So far the goal is to escape from different planes that are being overrun by various infestations:
Programs used are Construct, Gimp, Garageband, Paint, Audacity
Now back to work
Here are the remains of day 1:
Instructions
I realized the instructions for my entry were a little sparse.
There are two levels with a boss eat the end of each. The game is completable and has a proper ending sequence.
In level one you should avoid shooting the barrels exept it is the less painful alternative (like being hit by the green beams).
In level two radiation is your friend..
Working
The first graphics are in and there would be some challenge already if I put player damage in.
Next up: First boss (might be the only one if there is not enough time)
Some progress
Off to a productive start – there is some basic gameplay already – I have to leave now for a few houres but work will continue later this day.
Another entry
Hi again!
My second time fpr this compo – hopefully I can turn out somthing a little more consistent this time.
Tools will be construct, the gimp, sfxr, audacity.
My time might be a little limited on saturday, but I should have the whole sunday at my disposal.
Good luck!
Final: The Wall of (mildly irritating) Sunburn
Ok, I think I am done here. This is actually not only my first LD but also the first game that I ever completed, so yay me
(The sourcefile is extremely messy because I was figuring things out as I went along. sorry)
All in all that was a very satisfying experience.
What I got so far
I have something playable but its not much fun yet. I spent the whole morning on the basic gameplay and did the graphics on my laptop while visiting my parents.
The wall advances and leaves nothing but doom in its wake, so I guess I have everything covered regarding the theme.
The question is … should I turn the giant into a giant naked man?
First try!
I finally have time on the weekend one of these compos takes place! I will try to use the opportunity to get familiar with LÖVE. If I run into problems I might have to switch to Gamemaker or Construct.
Graphics will be done in Gimp, sounds with sfxr. I am not sure if I will manage to produce any music. My goal is to simply finish something playable and hopefully also something enjoyable
Good luck all!
