I don’t know yet :D

Waiting for theme is something exciting and sharing experience around here is interesting too :D

From my point of view, my “office” will be computer room and my first LD will be something really easy: not 48-hour programming rush, but from past contests experiences I learned that:

1) think is most important stuff for anything, even for programming. Write stuff on paper, play with it, even build a little prototype with pieces of paper and try to understand base mechanics. I will not do same mistake again: first analysis, then programming!

2)  try to organize my thoughts in a Game Design Canvas could be a waste of time, but could also help when I’ll move to programming phase. I don’t know yet

3) don’t waste time on graphics: I’m a programmer, so my graphics will sucks, but is only 1 on 8 judging point ! Same point on audio :D Will my game have audio? Naah..

4) what will be my central point on this LD? Innovation/fun/theme/graphics/audio/humor ? I don’t know. And maybe is not right point. What I need is some good base mechanics and some feel of progression and more important.. a game working in only 48 hours :D So I need to use my time, not waste it!

5) if a mechanics is too difficult to think/use/program, I will not use it, I promise!

I’m ready? Not yet :D Tomorrow!

First Ludum Dare :D

LD19 ?  I will be ready!

Think to use Flashpunk and flash to build most simple and in-theme game :D

No graphis experience, but we need to start somewhere, right?

So let’s introduce myself. From Italy, 29, hobbry programmer, few games done for now (see my blog)

I will use Flashpunk/Flex Builder and Gimp  and if theme will be good to me, try to use Advanced Platformer Engine from Flashpunk forum.

Good luck to everyone!
