    After my disappointment with my game in Ludum Dare 18, I decided to participate of the Ludum Dare 19 to try to make a better game than the previous competition.

    Here’s my tools list:

    • Programming: Game Maker 8 PRO, GML language
    • Graphics: The Gimp, Paint, Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007
    • Sound: Fruity Loops, Audacity

    Well, now just wait for the Show start and break all!

    PS: Sorry if my english is bad.

    Suggestion for LD19

    Well, when I participated the Ludum Dare 18, I saw that even after the competition time the users could edit their entries, updating its games with improved versions. In my opinion this is a cheat, because the competition is focused on making a game in 48 hours, but not what it seems when you can edit the entry and replace the previous game for an improved.
    For me it takes away the characteristic of the competition and becomes a thing of unfair means, and may even affect the results of the competition.

    This post aims to expose my opinion on one thing I think unfair and should not happen. I’m not against the called “Post-Mortem”, on the contrary, it stimulates the desire to continue making games and improve them. But I think just the first version posted should be judged, and that should not have the option to edit the entry. But can be happen bugs in a game that may make the game unplayable on some computer, for example, in this case I think that the edit of a entry is valid.  So the competition will be fairer and better quality, since users need to work harder to get a better game.

    Thanks, I hope you understand my opinion!

    I made some adjustments in my game and fix some bugs:

    ->The ant does not stop instantly when it hits the wall, now it bounces off softly.
    ->Fixed errors in the saving system.
    ->The bullets of weapons destroy each other.
    ->The leaves recover life completely.

    My game is the story of an ant named Joe, who was captured by humans and placed in a anthill full of small arms, deadly for an ant.
