Hey all- I’ve been following LD for about a year now but have yet to enter any of the compos. I’m pretty psyched about LD21. I’m British and live in London, so I’m going to have to get up EARLY in the morning.

For anyone that hasn’t decided on a language or platform- I was recently made aware of an entirely in-browser game IDE www.playmycode.com based on a modified version of the Ruby language. They host your game for free and it’ll run in any modern browser that supports HTML5. You can embed your finished game just like a youtube video.

I’m a C++ / OpenGL guy myself, but have done a fair amount of PHP so am hoping I can pick it up pretty quick. There’s plenty of documentation on their site as well.

A good friend of mine, also from London, is also entering LD21- I’d give him a shout out but he hasn’t registered yet. Good luck all !!

EDIT: if you’re going to have a play with that playmycode shiz, make sure you read their T&Cs http://www.playmycode.com/docs/terms/ – they offer a good service at a price. Usual stuff -> “You retain the rights to your content but we retain the rights to sell your kidneys on the blackmarket”
