Ready to Rock and Roll, Baby!
Duckfin here, I’m in and I’m pumped!!
I’ve got a paper to write before tomorrow, as well as an LC-3 programming project due Sunday, and yet I’m STILL going to be going all out for LD. I haven’t actually finished an LD submission yet, and the only long-term game I’ve written is PPTD. I’m hoping I can coax myself into pushing through this time!
I’ll likely be using Python 2.6 and Pygame (as usual). I’ll be targeting all computer platforms, and may even branch out to Android! I’ve been wanting to get my feet wet there
By the way, Keynote was awesome. “I’m a fucking ninja, and I’m in.”
So close!
LD16 starts in less than an hour! I can’t wait
I’m excited this time around, because I think I’m proficient enough in C++/SDL to use that, instead of Python/PyGame like last time. Unfortunately, now that I look over some of the other posts so far… it seems like alot of people are using Python/PyGame for this compo… where were these guys last time? lol
Anyway, I haven’t attempted to convert a C++/SDL game from OSX to Windows yet… which I’ll need to do for the compo, I assume. I’ll just cross my fingers, after all my Luck modifier’s a +3, I think I’ll be alright
Here’s a pic of my (messy) workstation and our newest kitten:

Woke up, overslept, unmotivated, and likely not finishing.
So the title sums it all up. I just can’t motivate myself today. I’m hoping I’ll get back into it in time to py2exe it (as HybridMind suggested) so Windows users won’t have any problems running it. Though at this point there’s really not much to play. I suppose my error in this contest began at the beginning: I wasn’t prepared at all, and really didn’t know what I was getting myself into. I am, however, quite proud that I at least got something running, something playable, for my very first LD.
Version 0.2, And Still No Name
Heading to the dog park soon, but wanted to release this before I left. Comments would be greatly appreciated! I’m especially wondering who all (if anyone) even has Python installed. Am I programming for an audience of zero?? I hope not

P.S.: I’ll get screenshots up when I get back.
Got something running!
So I put my nose to the grindstone, and finally have a feature-less, but quite playable release! I’m heading to take a shower, and when the gf gets here, we’re heading to the dog park. I can’t wait to get back and really finish this up!
Just woke up….
14 hours into the contest and only about 15 lines of code. No graphics, no audio, no nothing. The stress is kinda high right now, but I’m trying to remember it’s a fun contest, not too serious. I do have my concept… actually two… so I still need to decide between the two
My goal is to decide between the two, and have the game running at least enough for a screenshot by 6 tonight, when the gf’s coming over for a while.
First Meal Of LD15

Wendy's Burgers
So as soon as I found out the theme (Caverns? Really??) I set out for the nearest fast food joint to think on the way, and fill my belly on the return! I’ve figured that my submission will likely be a “cavern defense”, and I’ve got a few very interesting (I think) ideas. I can’t wait to get to the first running build!
