Oh what the heck, I’m in. This is probably my 7th LD. I seem to have lost count. My tools as usual will be..
CODE: RSV++ and CodeWarrior
LIBRARIES: OpenLVM, Molewerx
GRAPHICS: Bitmaster 4, Paint
SOUND EFFECTS: DfX Pro and wfxr
and MacroPad for design assistance
Good luck everyone!
extra credit assignment
I’m in. This will be my 5th LD. As an additional challenge I plan to submit to the iOS and Android app stores within the time limit, as well as providing a PC version for judgement purposes. It will probably take 2 days just to set up my development system.
Here’s my reasoning: I have two 2-day games that have turned into complete games that I’ve sold for dollars (Fuck Oregon made for LD16, and Realistic Summer Sports made for OrcaJam). Both games took 2 days to find the fun, but 2 months to polish off and ship. And I think a lot of the charm and crazyness was lost during the polishing process. So for this LD I’m throwing caution to the wind and no matter how horrific a game I make, it’s getting tossed into the 99 cent bin.
For Queen and Country!
F* Oregon, post compo edition (iPhone)
What was supposed to be a quick appstore-cash-in port, kind of dragged on for a couple months. But I’m finally done. I had a serious case of feature creep.
There’s tons of new stuff. Mainly shooting, seeing as how that was the only fun part of the original Oregon Trail. Also, in a cruel twist, you now have to carry the gold from El Dorado back home.
The game’s site is: solongoregon.captain-games.com
Couldn’t have done it without the ridiculous forced brain-explosion that is LD. So if anyone here would like a promo code, shoot me a message.
Hockey Island is done.
Apologies in advance if your favorite island wasn’t included.
Quite happy with how this turned out. It was originally intended to be no fun at all, but I think it’s somewhat fun.

arrr names…

Nantucket == Ovechkin.
Good progress today. Tomorrow will be mostly sound.
Still searching for a good name for this. A marriage of ‘islands’ and ‘hockey’. Stop me before I call it Hockey Island.
zzzzz
No Ed, hockey instead.

Took a brainstorming nap, got up and decided not to make a Twilight themed game. I am truly sorry.
Instead, I am making a hockey game with the theme ‘islands’. Wacky!
Horse Racing finished
I spent all day thinking of a name and Horse Racing is my best idea.

I’m a little late, but had a late start, and I’ve been constantly distracted by the Olympics this weekend. That’s where the idea came from, watching speed skating.
It’s kind of silly. Just bet on which horse you think will win. 1,2,3,4.
I wish could have used more of those lovely blues. The sound and music is the best part in my semi-sane sleep deprived opinion.

Thanks for playing. It’s been great fun making this
El Done

Very happy with how this turned out, even though it’s stretching the theme a tad.
Now time for a nap, then up to try some of the other entries.
Conestoga physics done

Next up, some semblance of gameplay.
and dysentery. Musn’t forget dysentery.
oh hi LD
This is my first LD, oh joy!
My plan is to make an Oregon Trail style game in which you are searching for the lost city of El Dorado.
I will be using my trusty ‘ol favorites: C++, HGE, Box2D, Photoshop, beer.
Here is a picture of my design doc
