Bitcoin payable games

There are many forms of payments that games could take for the october challenge, and it would be great to have more games accept bitcoins. If you haven’t heard what bitcoins are, here is a video that presents a nice summary:

If the game you are creating for the october challenge will accept bitcoins, comment on this post when you are ready for users to start using the game. Near the end of the challenge I will post up a link to this thread in the bitcoin forum to get gamers to come over from there.

Update:
==A quick and dirty guide to accepting bitcoins==
* Go to https://www.bitaddress.org/ , click on bulk wallet, and generate 1000 addresses.
* Whenever a user clicks to pay for something in bitcoins, take one of the public addresses and assign it to that user.
* Use this url: http://blockexplorer.com/q/getreceivedbyaddress/ADDRESS to check to see how much the user has paid into his account. You can use this for credits, and then debit against it when they buy something.
* To spend your bitcoins, you can import the addresses into a wallet at blockchain.info (use the wallet tab)

Been thinking about this for a long time, but now is the time to make it.

Island Warfare is going to be a massive multiplayer web based game where people battle over islands.

And just in time for the October competition.  Thank you ludum dare for setting up this compo. Without it I don’t know if I would ever finish the game that has been sitting around forever.

This forced me to cut features and prevent creep so that I could get it out in time. Of course this means I have a todo.txt file a mile long with features I would like to implement, but alas, they will have to be added in future iterations.

The way it is, you can play online in a mmo game where you can upgrade your ship, trade goods, and sink other players ships in real time. And it is all through the web browser!

Now all I need is one player to upgrade today :) Bitcoins and papal are both available checkout methods. When you upgrade, you can add unlimited ships to your fleet.

Working hard on Constant Sail: Pirates & Traders for the October competition. It is a pirate game where you sail around a world and trade goods. It is multiplayer and web based with a big emphasis on PvP fighting.

As you can see, even though I am making this for the web, it is being formatted to also work well on smartphones.

It uses jQuery Mobile + Node.js + MongoDB

Hopefully I get it out in the next week and get someone to upgrade in time to qualify.
