			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;m doing this, but with a twist.  I will be drinking the entire time I am working on my game.  To make things more fun, I&#8217;m using C++ and my custom engine built on Gosu!  <a rel="attachment wp-att-44716" href="http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/2011/04/29/in-with-sin/photo-apr-29-5-59-48-pm/"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-44716" src="http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/Photo-Apr-29-5-59-48-PM-225x300.jpg" alt="" width="225" height="300" /></a></p>
<p>I&#8217;ve got a collection of beer here, but I had to be fairly picky with what I will be drinking.  I could easily just buy a 30 pack of cheap whatever, but I tend to get black out drunk with really bad hangovers with that stuff.  So I&#8217;m drinking Killians, Shiner Bock and some Magic Hat.  I&#8217;ve found all of these to be pretty easy drinking for myself, which should help me to continue working and drinking!</p>
<p>I will also be using my <a href="http://www.livestream.com/chadyg">livestream</a> since that seemed to work out well last time.  I imagine this time around it will be slightly more amusing however.</p>
<p>My tools of choice are</p>

<li>Visual Studio 2010</li>
<li>Xcode 3 (yes, I will have an OS X build)</li>
<li>Adobe Photoshop</li>
<li>Inkscape</li>
<li>GarageBand</li>
<li>sfxr</li>
</ul>
<p>As I mentioned, I will be doing this in C++ using my <a href="https://github.com/ChadyG/MUGE">engine</a> which is build off of <a href="http://libgosu.org/">Gosu</a>.  Good luck to everyone else participating!</p>

<p>This time around I&#8217;ll be using <a href="https://www.assembla.com/wiki/show/MUGE">MUGE</a> (My Unnamed Game Engine) which is a collection of C++ extensions to <a href="http://www.libgosu.org/">Gosu</a>.  As for music, I&#8217;m thinking of using <a href="http://tones.wolfram.com/">WolframTones</a>, if you&#8217;re not familiar with this it generates music based off of cellular automata and some of it isn&#8217;t half bad.  Of course I&#8217;ll be using the de-facto sfxr for effects.  Finally for art I&#8217;ll either be using inkscape or photoshop, depends on my mood I guess.</div>

<p>Last time I used Ruby + Gosu, though this time I&#8217;m thinking of using C++ and Gosu with the framework I&#8217;ve been working on with some friends.  You can find the framework here, if interested.</p>

<p>Turns out it is somewhat similar to ippa&#8217;s, except in C++ and mine includes a workflow for level design using arbitrary sprites via JSON configuration.</p>
<p>For music and sound I&#8217;ll be using the trustworthy GarageBand and Dr. Petter&#8217;s sfxr again.  For graphics, likely I will suffice with Photoshop.</p>

<p>I&#8217;m not sure how my previous Windows link got mangled, <a href="https://dl.getdropbox.com/u/6366/WallaZombies%2Bruby.zip">here </a>it is again for anyone interested.  This one includes source, though they all do in one form or another.  You can check the Resources inside the OS X app for the source and the rs2e basically tars up the scripts and unzips when ran, though that doesn&#8217;t really enable you to check the source that way <img src='http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif' alt=';)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
