Just some news from my ld 28 game (yeah autopub-egotrip i know :D)
I managed to remake my teleport engine !!!! (wohoo achievement)
The compo version is near unplayable cause of the unprecize teleport system
My nose is still bleeding with booleans, else, and other basics code for you but terribly advanced for my tiny graphist brain
be sure to test the compo version by clicking this gif (beware bugs inside )

click : shoot
reclick :cancel shoot
space : teleport (with bounce on, you only can TP if you did one bounce)
ergonomy is not set up yet, am working on it.

after struggling 10 hours on collison here is a screen of my game.
Am going to make the animations and other stuff.

Actually controls are: arrow keys to move and clic to shoot a ball.
When the ball hit a wall you are teleported at the ball impact location.
(yeah i know my english sucks, but i love you guys )

Here is my entry for this LD 27.
I’m a graphic artist , but this time i did my game alone with Stencyl, my very first game it’s a kind of achievement to me
It is not perfect, but it is done i hope you’ll enjoy it even if some levels are very toughs.
Post Mortem :
-> I finally dare to make this LD on my own, alone, with me and myself ! A great experience, an awesome free feeling to do whatever i want without any argumentation while being obliged to deal with problems without any help.
-> Stencyl : Omg this soft is awesome for code noobies like me, i learned Atan2, how to use properly boolean variables and stuff like this, if i knew how much Maths could be fun , i’m sure i could have been a better student
-> i really enjoy level design !
-> Beeing IRL with my videogame teamates 01101101, Deepnight, Benjamin, Killou…
-> Deepnight’s heroe’s come back after giving up 4hours ago.
-> MY FIRST GAME FFS !
What went wrong :
-> I was very slow to code my game, only 5h to make some GFX, it’s is a bit frustrating for a graphic artist
-> No sound T_T
-> Not enough time to make the narrative part of my game.
-> Using font in stencyl : OMG OMG no letter spacing, a weird way to draw text, I really struggle with it. i wasted a lot of time to fail on that part.
-> Deepnight and Benjamin gave up very soon.
What’s next :
Sir Rezoner worked on a beautiful soundtrack for the enhanced version of Feather & Son.
this guy is awesome, and gave me a lot of energy to finish my game properly. Am now working on it with pleasure !

this time i go solo for the fisrt time and for my very first game !
I Used to Jam because am a graphic artist, and as a graphic artist code usually makes my nose bleeding a river.
And you know what, am scared shitless !!!! But it’s awesome dudes !

puzzles comes from Thotor twisted mind, so if you are stuck and cannot find the solution, or have not many times to rates many games ( ) Thotor set up a Walkthrough but but this is not recommended, it’s up tou you
What went good:
-> The challenge to make a point & click quicly was very exctiting, our graphist (me :D) has never played those kind of game, so this was a real discovery, Hopefully Thotor is a real Point&clickhoolic
-> Music, Mathal makes us terrific soundtracks in no time, it was great to work with it in the ears
-> Code… Sooooo fast, Thotor is a real machine, our engine made from scratch was ready in 5 hours.
-> Character design and animation, it is really my favourite work, and, the result is not too bad compared to the time it took me to make.
-> We finished in time, with some bugs, but in time!
What went wrong:
-> A lot of work, both in graph and code, we have not spent enough time on storytelling that is the soul of this kind of gameplay.
-> Some mistakes on ergonomy (using items, Pathfinding)
-> So much graphs to do! i was late from the begining to the end, I have not been able to do all the planned content, plus, i had to go very fast so some background are not very nice, I am more comfortable at pixel art than HD
-> Some planed features missing, and some crashes.
-> Unfortunately, Mathhal was not with us IRL to compose music.
Nevertheless, we really hope you’ll enjoy playing at Demon Quest!
