…I updated my game to have diagonal movement too. (Linklink! And it is faster as well.)

But don’t worry, the main windows download on the entry page is still the old version. :)

I finished!

…Without music. :( I tried noodling on the guitar a little, but playing only electric guitars and getting RSI means I have neither callouses or strength for acoustic guitars anymore. XD

(I also apologise for the dialogue system. It’s clunky. I only figured out how to do it when it was too late today, and it wasn’t worth fixing when I could use the time making the levels better)

…But then I shoved a really rubbish dialogue system it. It’ll do. It took 3 hours of frustration though! Argh!

I think I’m going to design the rest of the levels (level design is a bit shonky) and then… to bed! One level is completely finished though, so it’s not so bad.workinprogress02

I hope I get time to do music. :/ It’s looking unlikely at this stage, unfortunately. (Again, argh!)

Must not give in to panic. Not already! Argh!

Got something working. Would like to make more than one level of this game. It’s being made in Construct, as I can’t code for toffee (still). You play the little guy with no legs (being cheap on the animation.)

Think I’ve gotta start working on dialogue. The map is done for this level, although it needs prettying up. Once the dialogue is done, the questy parts can go in. Phew!

Ahh it’s a beautiful sunny day here for sitting inside and making games. XD

This is my mock-up of some tiles. Now, to chop ‘em up and put them in a game. I wanna make three levels like this… I hope I have time!

I finished! I’m so happies! (And tired. It’s 3am here!)

My game has the dreadful pun title of ‘Miner Distraction’, being a minor distraction from the games I should be making. Hmm. Download is here: http://bentosmile.com/games/minerdistraction/ There’s no sound or anything I’m afraid, as I ran out of time. (My bad for trying to learn while doing this!)

I’ve got my level in game now… but it’s not screencappable until I have a character (unless you like the black area at the top of the frame ^^; ) Yes, character is next, and then, all the rest of the background art. :D Hoorah!

Yay, this is the first time I’ve done this. I’ve never made a game this fast before. :D

Got my level design sorted, so now I can have some lunch! Next – tidying it up, colouring it in, and that’ll be most of the environment! (It’s a 2D exploration platformer, just to keep it simple)
