sorry, i’ve nothing worth showing this time..
some unexpected events yesterday took me a lot of time,
and today i also hadn’t enough concentration to code and rethink all the needed stuff.

saturday morning sketches: horror caves?
hi, everyone!
nice to have a compo again!
it’s my second ld… and i hope get something done this weekend. most likely in flash/as3 again…
i was pondering about the theme after getting up…
no good ideas yet :/
but i’m moving over to test a pseudo 3d cave race technique now. 2d sprites, scaling, maybe some color adjustments for more depth… steering, either on 3 different tracks, or free in horizontal direction. with constant speed, probably. then… collisions. enemys? jumping + shooting? huh… i don’t even know how to do pseudo 3d zooming in flash, and how i’m gonna layout the levels…
i’ll keep it simple as possible today, till it’s getting playable.

a bit too late… but here it finally is. it’s an experiment i always wanted to make.. – i’ve actually worked on this already before the weekend, but it didn’t came along so well… so, i’ve just decided to finish something small for now (the actual plaything was made during this weekend, so i hope that shouldn’t be much of a problem…).
thanks to destroysound’s soundpack, i’ve started to play around with these wav files, and with less straight rhythms, and it was fun

but, hmm, there are still some bugs left… (random sound hangers, and even crashes – please let me know).
but it’s already early morning here. if needed, i’ll try to fix things when possible later…

dare ludic society, your positive and helpful comments “behind the curtains” really motivated me to spend more time with the game, after the compo. thank you all! …epic blueworm award? wow!! thx
the game is not fully done yet, but i think it’s more streamlined now, probably still a bit too “sparse”, but hopefully not as frustrating as before to play (although the platforms are still randomized).

- to start playing, click into the game window, then use then left, right, space, escape keys.
- to jump higher, you have to wait. just rest on a platform till the blue bar on top charched up enough.
- the levels are badly randomized, and not properly tuned yet. so if you got stuck: choosing menu > new game might help.
- there’s no end.

hello everybody!
slept much too long today… first i wanted to stand up at ~4am look what the topic is, and sleep on again. ludic, ehm, lucid dreaming about something i could do. – anyway, i didn’t managed to do that
.. so. 1day, 14hours are left to pull something off. i hope it’s still okay to enter late…
i’m trying to do something in Flash, with the APE physics engine. i’ve never used actionscript before for something real, so i don’t know how far i will get. but i’ve already managed to compile physics powered swfs yesterday with Flex3 SDK + FlashDevelop… that’s a start!
here, my first, and probably final idea for what i’m gonna try to do…
