My first entry to the one game a month challenge

Hi! My first entry to the one game a month challenge is a product of the 2013 Global Game Jam and won the award for Best Game Design.

Basically it’s a platformer in which the player needs to manage his heart rate by collecting keys in each level.

The game is still in development and we’ll probably add more level soon. Play it here: Beat My Heart

There are a few bugs in the game so sorry for that. Enjoy!

Tried it, but it’s too sluggish on my machine (which although a few years old still can play just about any modern game) to even get passed the first level.

Then I couldn’t quite figure out how fast I was supposed to be beating the hard. There wasn’t a correlation (so far as I could tell) between hitting the keys and the sound effect. Maybe that was lagging as well?

Also there’s a typo in the instructions. You have to type z and x alternatively to beat the heart, not z and *z*.

Overall though, it’s a really neat concept. I wish it had worked better so I could give it a more thorough evaluation.
