Thanks to your influence, I rated a couple more games today, including some that I think will get very few ratings (downloaded and compiled an iPad game, doubt that will get a lot of ratings if that’s what you have to do to play it). Brings the number of games I’ve rated up to 25!
Was surprised to not find my game on the list! Guess I have more ratings than I think!
I think this is a great attempt to help fellow competitors get some ratings and feedback. However, after looking at the first dozen or so, it seems like there is good reason they don’t have ratings. They are either source only, Linux only or iPad only or they just can’t be run on my particular system for various reasons. Like one comment said, they aren’t going to install Eclipse just to try out one entry.
The reason they have such low ratings tends to be that they haven’t rated others’ games. If you don’t contribute to the community, don’t expect to earn ratings either.

For anyone that’s curious how many ratings they’ve received on their game, you can check out this page: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-25/?action=misc_links
Thanks! I did not know about that page!
You can also ‘search’ for your own game on the ‘Play and Rate Games’ page to find out your coolness rating and ‘default’ number.

I’ve rated 100 so far, I’ll try to get through some more tonight and tomorrow morning.
