Its for people who use a premade website template like wordpress or google sites or somthing like that because they don’t know how to code in HTML. Nope, no more wordpress or googlesites for me. Now I can have a website for free AND make it anyway I want!
You know, making your webpages by yourself is great and all, but there is a reason for WordPress:
Imagine you want to make a blog.
You’ll need to learn PHP to do that. JavaScript wouldn’t be bad either.
Then you’ll need to look up on MySQL/Oracle or whatever database may please you.
After that comes the security stuff (Login form for the admin, perhaps a commenting system [and spam-prevention.], and if you’re serious about it maybe even a simple CMS [Content Management System])
And while some people (Take me as example) are certainly able to do it, and have done it before (I have some basic blogging system running on one of my pages), sometimes you just don’t want all that trouble.
And here WordPress comes in. It takes away all the programming, and this page is a perfect example of how customizable it is.

tl;dr – Making your own webpages is great, but WordPress does have a reason for it’s existence.
You said on your site that you are not satisfied with wordpress. Is wordpress still using over well paid hard work?

Well, I found it quite hard to program all of that into HTML.
Its not easy typing <html then </html Then <body then </body and so on and so on and so on.
It can drive me crazy!

I learned all that in 5 hours!
Imagine 3 days later! I’ll be able to put Ymail or google in here! Or you can even play a GAME right from the post! Think about it. Hehe, a ludum dare entry in a post. hehe…
For some reason, I feel like they’ve blocked that. Else everyone would put games in posts. Probably some kind of spam protection.
Not to be mean, but the only thing they know how to do is put a clock up next to the Logo.
Other than that *Demoman accent* if they WERE good HTML programmers, they would’nt be here using wordpress, would they?
Eh, well, I see your point, the site isn’t state-of-the art, but in the end, why reinvent the wheel?
Well, just cause a commoder 64 was invented doesnt mean we can make a better looking replica.
Otherwise if somebody claimed copyright to the computer (Its idea, its design, everything) We would all be coding in binary, making modded versions of ping-pong, and using commoder 65′s.
I don’t think that code will work until you take off the purple color… I think that’s it.

15 minutes of what is 12 lines of code.
It worked, man, pretty sweet! Only thing wrong is that the gif doesn’t work… I had to go to the site in the brackets to see it, didn’t show up on the preview post. But I can imagine how it WOULD have looked!
P.S. So, I guess you found out you couldn’t pull off the video editor?
I could, but not in a month.
That would take FOREVER.
When I learn enough, I can finish it next october.

Uh… I was really looking forward to a video editor made in Game Maker.
Dude, maybe I am smart enough to make a video editor in gamemaker.
But trust me, it will be the worst twenty dollars you ever spent.
Try CSS now! You can do amazing things (CSS3 is VERY interessant too!).
And after ,try TeX, is another really really good tool, specially if you like to write beutiful articles.

If you’re more interested in making games, you should continue learning javascript, and the power of the tag. The canvas tag is like an image tag in html, but on wich you can draw with javascript. You would then be able to make what they call “html5 games”
You make me feel back in the 90′s.

Dude, I just had a heyayayaya moment
Reminds me of my start with computers xD
What? Choppy, bloppy, and crappy?
Well, then again it took me only a day to master all that.
It may have taken you 2 WEEKS to master that.
I also know Javascript too, which was quite hard also, and took much more time.
When I was learning html(on the start of the past year (I was 13)), I learned HTML,CSS and CSS3 in just two days. Javscript took me more time.
I know! Javascript seems to be my greatest challange, and a MUCH more powerful scripting language than Html, Xml (More of a data prosesser to me), And CSS. With Javascript thats where your website comes to life. Thats why i’m learning it. But its very hard, and i’m still learning how to get one thing out of another.
