Count me in.

This will be my first actual game, let alone first time in the compo.

I plan on using Java through the Netbeans IDE.

Have you heard of the Video Game crash of ’83? My game will probably cause the Video Game crash of ’12.

     ^ I second this. Although I wouldn’t kill you with fire, I’d probably use something less cliche, like neurotoxin or duct tape.
