So, I have wasted day 0! Yay!
(btw. I just noticed that 0 (zero) and o (letter) look the same in WordPress editor… )
The only thing I managed to do is clear up the idea – seeing as the theme is “contrast” I thought of making a game in which the player has to… make a game! And then me (i.e. my “game”) will play it! I was quite excited about this, but I realised it may be a little to much for my first go, especially as I don’t have any experience in AI programming and it seems there would be to be a lot of it going around there…
So this one goes to the forever expanding idea-archive!
This is actually my biggest setback – I tend to overthink and overcomplicate my ideas and then end up leaving unfinished projects all over my drive. That’s actually one of the reasones I decided to do this mini – to man up and finish something for once.
And as for the actuall game I will be going with my second best (in my opinion of course ) idea – a tunnel obstacle avoidance game where on half of the screen your character moves the way it is supposed to, and the other way the opposite. Of course you have to try not to crash on both of the screens.
I will propably write it using Allegro 5 on Windows, and eventually port it to Linux and Java ( Processing ).
Well, if you reached this part, you may as well leave some feedback! Cheers!
