Zombie Apocalypse Roguelike
It needs a goal though, there are a lot of good sandbox ones out there, but they get boring quickly.
Also, playing as a zombie could be fun.
You seriously can’t think of ONE idea?
This question comes up fairly often, and it’s not exactly an easy one to answer. It’s a bit like asking “what should I paint?” or “what should I have for dinner?” – We can offer you suggestions that WE like (dinosaurs and subway, btw), but what you should actually do depends on your interests, personality, skill level, current mood, etc.
Think about your interests outside of programming and game making. If you’re really into sports, make a sports game. If you’re really into cars, make a racing game. What kind of games do you like? Make a game like that, or combine two genres, or…
Inspiration doesn’t come from sitting around thinking “aw but what should I do?” – It comes from stimulating thought, which you can do by reading, watching a movie, going for a walk, whatever. Look in a random direction at the first thing you see and ask yourself “how can I make that into a game?”
One does not simply give a great game idea
