I plan on using Notch’s DCPU-16 emulator as my platform

Yup! So… No sounds unfortunately. Custom graphics and all. Or maybe ASCII? Depends on how I feel. Will be written in ASM.

I think this is going to be a huge take. Maybe I should use something I’m more familiar with for the 10th year of LD48? What do you think?

What the heck? Why would you want to use that?

    Can’t agree more to sfernald!

    Because it’s a challenge.

So how’d this idea go? :p

Haha well, the specs weren’t quite up yet. Had a brain debate on how to publish such a game (Who has an emulator to run it anyway?) and also I wasn’t experimented enough with it.

I just thought it would be safer to go with what I already know. I’m still experimenting with the DCPU though so next Ludum Dare might just be it!
