LD23 – First time in

I still consider myself a junior level programmer, so I know I’ll have some difficulty. I will promise that if I shouldn’t finish my game by the deadline, I’ll finish it afterwords anyway so that at the very least it’s complete and people can play it.

At the moment I’m hemming and hawing between using Lua with Love2d or using Stencyl. With Stencyl I can focus on graphics and game design longer. However, I can still write a template in Love2d where I can have menus set up and from my experience with a project that I’m working on in Corona, I can even put in a tile map and level editor function (so that players can edit their own levels.. if the game should contain a elements on a grid like a tile map). I’m sure that should be ok to code before the compo starts. The template would be similar to this one: http://www.mikeziray.com/2010/06/27/corona-game-template-in-lua/

Language: Actionscript or Lua (will have one picked in a week)

Libraries: Love2d or Stencyl (will have one picked in a week)

Graphics: MyPaint, Pencil, Paint.NET, and or Photoshop CS4

Sound: SFXR

Timelapse: Chronolapse
