This is my first LD, but my fifth Game Jam overall (sixth if you count the Zero-Hour game jam earlier this year). My participation may be affected by the amount of work I have, but the way things have been going thus far, but conflicts seem unlikely.

Language: Good ‘ol Actionscript 3
Graphics: Adobe Flash Professional, and maybe Fireworks if I decide to get advanced for some reason. Can’t draw to save my life, but I’ll give it my all.
Sound: FL Studio 10 and sfxr.

My plan is to do the Competition.

I am the president of the Game Creation Club at the Ohio State University (that would be Columbus, Ohio). We have reserved space in the Ohio Union for a Ludum Dare meetup during the daytime hours of most or all of the Competition. We originally reserved it for our own little game jam, but that was before we knew of this. One question though… the countdown counts down to 9:00 PM as the start time. The tooltip produced by holding the mouse over the countdown says 6:00 PM. So… which is it? Poking my head in the IRC twice produced no definitive answers. I’ve assumed 9:00 PM for the time being.
