Seven-Day Roguelike Challenge 2012 (March 10–18)
Every year, there’s a challenge to make a fully-functioning, playable roguelike game in seven days. For more information about this year’s Seven-Day Roguelike (7DRL) Challenge, you can check out “7DRL Contest 2012” at RogueBasin.
And check out the community blog, too!
The 7DRL Contest isn’t organisationally related to Ludum Dare in any way, but I thought you folks might be interested.

Yay! I’m in!
Awesome!
Might be a good idea to explain how to participate? (For the inexperienced ones of us.) Does one still just reply to the newsgroup announcement only, or do I edit the wiki, or do I just start blogging on the 7drl.org …?
Traditionally people have posted on the rec.games.roguelike.development newsgroup to indicate their participation, but it’s not required.
I’m going to take part as well, although not officially. Just for fun. :3
I may take part, depending on whether or not I like the miniLD theme. I can’t see myself doing both.
oh, the 10th is tomorrow! Then I don’t know what I’ll be doing.
Yes! I’ve known about this before, but this could be the year I do it!
Assuming of course, that my dev laptop is fixed up before then…
