    Suese

Git out yer shotgun, ’cause there’s a Wild Suese On The Loose at Ludum Dare 22.

That’s right,  the one and only Suese is competing in Ludum Dare 22 and he’s hoping to make you all regret it!

Good luck everyone, and may the best competitor ROCK!

For competition formality here is a list of tools Suese will be using, including personal libraries.

Suese will be using FlashDevelop and ActionScript 3, and ScITE to develop the code.  He may be using one or all of a few personal libraries created previous to the competition: AS3 ANSI Music Player (plays classic ANSI music),  AS3 FANSI Buffer (for classic ANSI graphics in AS3),  and QuickLINK (a multi-language data serialization, storage, manipulation and reporting library for interfacing with PHP and MySQL servers).  See  http://danmckinnon.net/ludum_dare_tools/ for the source code to those personal libraries.

Suese usually either uses GIMP or MushII to develop graphics.  He prefers run-time generated sound effects and music but may sometimes use Ubuntu Studio (a large suite of tools), his electronic drum kit, keyboard, and a combination therein to accomplish these goals.   Suese runs Ubuntu 10 and Windows XP inside a VirtualBox.  He’ll be recording his progress with GTK CamStudio.

    1. Unless you are entering the jam, you will need to make your personal libraries accessible to other entrants.

      Just letting you know. ;)

      Good luck!

Thanks. The libraries and source code have been posted to http://danmckinnon.net/ludum_dare_tools/ for anyone to use and enjoy.
