KITTEN CHALLENGE
This is an official challenge to all Ludum Dare gamedevs.
This weekend, your quest is to put a KITTEN somewhere in your game as an “easter egg”.
This “kitten challange” will be like a meta game in which everyone tries to find the kittens in each game they play. You know you want to.
Do it – for the love of kittens. For the love of meta. For the love of all things LD48.

Nice idea.
But what if kittens wins? How would we spot a hidden kitten in a game about kittens?
It’d like playing “where’s wally” in a room of wallys.
That reminds me to those old books of ‘Where’s wally’, i had one that was full of wallys, and the only difference with the original wally was the red tip of the hat.. gosh i hated that page..
..It took me years to found him.
In The US Where’s Waldo version, the real Waldo was missing a shoe.

Totally doing it. People should write in their submission that they participated in the kitten challenge, just so we don’t search for kittens in games that don’t have any.
Also, this should TOTALLY be recuring and become a LD tradition!

I hope this means we’ll ignore the kitten theme if it actually wins.
If kittens does not win we must stage a coup, ignoring the official theme, and using the kittens theme instead.
We must stand united against our kitten oppressors. This is our time!!

So we know it is unlikely to win. Hence, the easter-egg challenge, just for fun. =)
@McFunkypants I was definitely one of the 403; but as an easter egg, heck yea! Since I am not a cat fan though perhaps something to do with an ax, poo or boiling lava is in order. I like the easter egg challenge.
We should make this a tradition. The worst voted theme as an easter egg.

Hold on, this means Kittens isn’t going to win. We can’t have a theme where every game outs it in as an easter egg.
