[LAST CALL] I’m in – LD22 edition!

For those who doesn’t know how it works:

You upload a video declaration of LD22 participation. Make it crazy, make it big! Just before the LD, I will assemble these into a running reel!

The link below will take you to a neat flash-based webcam recording thingie.


I’m in!

Submissions close 12.12 23:59 UTC!

If the thing fails to work for you, or for some weird reason you don’t want to use it, upload your video (file) somewhere (like dropbox, not like youtube) and leave a link in the comments.

    Looking at the LD20 video, there was a google maps thing with people’s names on. I’d quite like to browse that – is there a link?

    To help pass these next 30-something days, we could do with a countdown calendar. Like an advent calendar, except it’s a countdown to LD22.

    Behind each door could be a picture of a past LD game, with a funny message. Or if someone has the time, it could be a video calendar.

    Another idea, which you could consider using in a keynote:

    the 12 days of christmas –> the 12 days of ludum

    So instead of 10 lords-a-leaping, etc, you could go through different themes, such as 10 walls-of-death, 9 explosions, 8 platform jumps, 7 death animations, etc, while showing clips of that many LD games with that theme. You could also include things like 6 plates-of-dinner (food photos), or 5 timelapse-vids.

    I’m slightly terrified to be doing this as I’ve never released any sort of software for the consumption of other humans, but Ludum Dare is possibly the swift kick in the ass I need to get some game programming chops. It may be too much to hope that this will all lead to pitching my MMO concept to Notch and becoming a billionaire like him (I’m highly doubtful I’ll even be able to produce something playable), but as long as I learn a bunch of stuff and have fun I’m not going to be complaining.
