It’s dangerous to take this. Go alone!
Nonetheless, I uploaded my game in the last minute possible, probably in the minute after that minute. Look at the entry here: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-20/?uid=3663

Woo! With time to spare!
Ah, so glad to have this LD wrapped. Came into it sleep deprived wasn’t sure if I’d be able to put a huge effort into it. Had to friends participate in their first LD’s, helped for a little bit of motivation, didn’t want to be one upped
Thanks so much to the organizers, this is the best jam organization by far!
Timelapse, post-mortem and narrated gameplay coming up.
I’m done
Finally done. The game only has 3 levels, I wanted to make more but there wasn’t enough time. It has been a fun past 48 hours. I’m hoping to make a game in c++ or Flash next ludum dare.

All done! Take It Take It Take This
Or “Wise Man’s Wisdom Emporium and Item Dispensary”
Have a few playing play testing, but it seems to go ok… I got one “the text box broke” so I took out one of the super long strings that may have messed up word wrap.
In any case, I’ll submit in a minute and update with the link.

Finished!
Alright, well this time around in ludum dare I finished everything I had planned and gotten a decent game. I know I’m not going to win, but such a fun experience! Anyway, here is the submission for it: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-20/?action=preview&uid=2287
A little snippet too:
In the Prolock Galaxy there are two planets: One being Yarynx and the other Venox. Yarynx has declared war on Venox and your job is to capture their capital. Don’t forget to take your SMG!
WASD to move and SPACE to shoot.
Monsters Dont Like Water – Done! (or almost)
ALMOST done with my entry, i uploaded it anyway, even if its incomplete
Things i didnt had time to do:
- Sounds.
- Last scene, when you save the girl.
- Bonuses or something liked to get more lives.
- A menu :S
This Ludum dare rocked out! i am VERY pleased with the final result, i knew my project was ambitious since i started drawing it, but i almost finish it, and thats what matters, right? Hopefully next time i wont draw my characters in photoshop :S

Time over.
Well, I ended up commiting the cardinal errors in the Survival Guide, namely not having your development toolchain in order. I hadn’t seriously used Unity since version 2, so I ended up wasting a lot of time writing code that wasn’t needed in 3.x. Rolling a ball in a 2d plane is all I’ve got to show for 48 hours.
On the other hand, the concept I’ve got seems fun enough, so I’ll finish it on my own time, and chalk this up as experience for the next compo.
First compo for me..
I just made and submited a game to the public for the first time.
Yay! I managed to squeeze it in the last minute..
I am wondering if I submitted successfully and what is the new counter “one hour” ..
I’m really pleased even though I see some people have made really polished games cause I only had 7h for this.:)
Best of luck in the competition!
Best regards,
ER
Finished
I cut all the features that didn’t produce a game. I added a simple menu, high score, and timing system. The last 20 minutes have been me uploading like crazy.
I am very satisfied with this Ludum Dare, and hope to see you all next time.
GG all

Time To Collect Some Diamonds
Sunday, May 1st, 2011 6:58 pmWell, I’m done. It was a long weekend, and I’m incredibly tired, but at least I can say I finished a game in 48 hours. Normally I go years without ever completing anything, so this feels good. And now I present to you, Diamond Hollow (submission coming very soon!):
CAT in the city – final video

have fun helping the yellow kitten.
Take This! Finished.
I think this is my most complete LD48 game ever. That’s not saying much, though. There’s about one or two minutes of gameplay, but you can actually win or lose and run around and fight stuff and other game-like stuff.
Press ‘F’ to try the secret, not-really-working FPS mode.
I had some trouble with the mac build. It should work, but you need a 64 bit mac, and you probably need SDL installed, and it has to be run from the terminal because it expects you to be in the game directory to load it’s voxely sprites.
I’ll try and figure out how to bundle it up as a proper app. I’ll also make win32 and linux builds, but those might have to wait until tomorrow. Now, I’m going to take a break for a few hours, and have some dinner.

Kicking the bucket..
Well, I tried my best to finish something in 48 hours for the Ludum Dare 20, but I don’t think that what I’ve done is good enough to submit. Saturday morning I had to work with other stuff and kind of lost the time today at noon. Couldn’t pull off an all nighter too, didn’t sleep very well during the week.
My idea was to make a gamebook in Flash with a nice story and some branching, put under control by the variables system I implemented. Loading scenes from a file, checking conditions and applying effects is working, but I wanted to make an inventory and a map too. I left the story and illustrations to be made after I finished the application, so… REALLY bad planing. Here are the screenshots of the unfinished app.
One thing I remembered quickly after starting: drawing pretty stuff is hard and time consuming. Next time I will try to make a better plan and keep my weekend really free.
Its over… its beginning!
Amazing.
I’m really happy with how things turned out. Ludum dare is fun beyond imagination. Can’t wait to play everyone’s games, well done all!

All done! (Well, more or less)
Play it HERE!!

“A Really Big Rock is a simple puzzle-platformer about a young man named Jer and a really big rock that you can use to break things and crush the skulls of your enemies!
NOTE: I plan on adding more content and a “proper” ending later, possibly during the Jam. The game itself is fully working and has a decent amount of fun content thus far. I hope you enjoyed it, I really worked hard!”
Choppa’, Run to thee is finished
I finished Choppa. I wrote some music (poorly), made some sound effects (mostly poorly), and had one voice recording (can you guess what it is?)
You can view the entry here: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-20/?action=preview&uid=1863
Thanks, good luck everyone!
O:
I might still be able to submit it on time! Just one stupid bug with my character movement and scrolling that has been stumping me for the past hour. Must fix nowww!
All Done!
Everything’s finished and my game is submitted! I got just about everything done and in there that I wanted to. There were a few sound effects I didn’t have time to make, and I didn’t have time to make barely any music (funny that in a sound-driven game, those are the two things I didn’t quite get to). I’m happy with the gameplay and the visuals. Maybe it’s just because I made it, but my (technically very bad) art makes me very happy
Overall I’d say this was a big success. For the first time ever, I assigned myself a reasonable scope for a project, and not-so-coincidentally, I actually finished said project. I hope everyone enjoys my game, let me know if you have any suggestions or if any bugs pop up. I’d like to do some more work on the game eventually to make it a bit more polished/bigger and give it some more audio. I also plan to clean up my code a ton, it’s very sloppy as I was in a hurry. Any and all feedback is appreciated, thanks guys and I hope everyone feels good about their projects too!
