Life finished

I didn’t have any great ideas but I had to make something so A gaem About lIfe was born. About 3 hours was used to this. It is surprisingly hard to make bad artwork.
My terrible game is finished
It is here. It’s not overwhelmingly messed up, it’s just a bit muddled and pants. If you sit through the entire soundtrack you deserve an award ![]()

The Ludum Dare Zombie Song
Finished a song about zombies AND Ludum Dare…
Enjoy!

Almost finished
I’m just putting the finishing touches on it. The game itself is finished and I only need to add various screens and stuff.
Deadly Quest of Adventure Finished
Right, I’m done. Get it here.
It’s not as chaotic as I was hoping for, and in the end I didn’t add in dynamic weather (I couldn’t face spending any more time on such a buggy, broken mess), but it’s plenty annoying and ugly.
MiniLD 25 Complete!
Dimension Wars – Compo Release
Sunday, March 13th, 2011 8:42 amHere is the worst game I’ve ever made.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/14141907/DimensionWars/index.html
Timelapse: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WSU2Li4szUk
Packed with intentional lagging, nag screens, annoying sounds and music. Lots of more annoying things. Probably left some debugging statements there, but it doesn’t matter.
Please rate the game the worst possible in the comments. I was working hard to bring you a game which is extremely bad. If you want to talk to me, post here, or come to IRC.
My Mini-LD Game – Proof that a game CAN be too easy
Mini-LD #25: TWTRGE
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you…The Worst Tabletop Roleplaying Game Ever.
You’re welcome.
Awesome Game Compilation!
I think I might be failing as far as purposely making it bad. It’s so tempting to tweak things to make it feel a little better — I cannot resist it! Anyhow, I’m making a compilation game. So far I completed (with exception to sound) two of the games today. I plan to keep making games until the time runs out, so I don’t know how many there will be in the end.
Game 1 is called “Lost In The Woods.” Try to find your way back home. Controls are arrow keys.
Game 2 is called “Alien Invader.” It’s a somewhat standard space shooter with a twist.
Edit: If you have Python & PyGame and would like to test out what I currently have, feel free to download it here: http://temp.natewm.com/prog/agc_alpha_1.zip
Best Gahme
I ditched the latter par of the whole “So bad it’s good” thing. AKA “It’s bad”. I mustered up all my experience from my 8th grade game-maker games in order to create this masterpiece entitled: BOBER<S QUEST

Here is a screenshot for your viewing (dis)pleasure

actual post thing where I say the exact same thing again: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/minild-25/?action=preview&uid=1548
btw sorry if this post is completely rubbish, I’m in the rubbish mindset from wasting an hour of my life on this.

Saturday, March 12th, 2011 7:06 pmMy LD#18 game, HackBotz, was the first game I did using Flash. I felt like it was a pretty good concept, and so when the October challenge came along I was motivated to polish it up a bit, add some levels, and release it into the wild. A couple of months on Flashgamelicense.com and a few sponsorship offers later, I managed to get a non-exclusive with addictinggames.com which was pretty cool. It was a good learning experience, and I owe it all to the Ludum Dare compo. You can play the game here.
Half way through…
So far I have a slightly odd, and ugly, football game. Tomorrow I shall put in the other team members, and that is where it shall get truly awful. I spent most of today recording a woeful song on a 4 track in my basement on instruments I haven’t touched in over a year, that’s pretty bad too.
So far this has been quite fun. It’s nice not stressing about it being any good
Mini LD Progress
I’m about half-way through my game, so I thought I’d post something before I go to bed.
My idea was to make one of those games that’s incredibly ambitious and also thoroughly buggy and broken (e.g. Boiling Point). So I’m making a roguelike with as much stuff in it as I can possibly fit. In no particular order:
- Noise propagation.
- Avalanches.
- Full ecosystem (plants eaten by herbivores, which are eaten carnivores, omnivores eat everything).
- Dynamic weather.
- Predators track you (and other prey) by smell and noise.
- Floods.
- Hunger, thirst <- every creature in the game suffers from these. Some will change their behaviour as a result.
- Traps which the player can only see if they’re observant enough.
- Probably other stuff I’ve forgotten.
Finished minild-25!
you can find the game here
…or maybe…
