Mo’ Progress!
It’s all coming along pretty well, I’ll have some screenshots to show in a little while, but all the physics are finally cooperating… using a full 3d physics engine for a shmup might have been a bit much, but I think it’ll allow for some cool effects when I get to the polishing stage.

You’ve got a great muffins rendering engine here, but you could use a higher resolution skybox!

Regarding shmup physics, I started to go down that route with my game – velocity, acceleration, friction, etc – but it got to a point, namely the point where I was trying to move enemies around, where I decided enough was enough and ripped it all out. I hope it works out better for you
