CAN WE COMBINE DOUBLE ZOMBIE RAINBOW AND ENEMIES AS WEAPONS SO WE CAN HIT DOUBLE ZOMBIE RAINBOWS WITH DOUBLE ZOMBIE RAINBOWS!?!?!?!?!?!

But seriously… I’m hoping we end up with a non-setting theme this time.

I’m rooting for anything but claustrophobia, bugs, and cooperation.

  2. If we submit an entry with a known crash, lockup, missing image, or the like, will that satisfy the ‘bugs’ thematic requirement? If so, I have you all beaten soundly – -no one- is better at introducing bugs than I.

  3. jovoc says:

Can we rename “Technology in the wrong time period” to “Anachronism”?

  4. I absolutely LOVE all the choices. But my favourite, hands down, is double zombie rainbow. This is going to be incredibly fun. Good luck everyone!

  5. fartron says:

which one is the joke entry?

    i think it’s mental illness

  6. xhunterko says:

After looking it up, not as bad as I thought. But I’m still hoping for ‘enemies as weaons’ or ‘evolution’ as the winners. Or ‘rain’. Then I could make it chocolate. *cough bad joke cough*

Some of these themes look good on the surface, but upon serious consideration we find that they’re very difficult to work with. You don’t rate a politician highly if their promises of hope are unrealistic. Likewise, don’t judge a theme by the romantic images it conjures in your imagination, but by whether or not it will convert into a simple game.

  8. zlash says:

My favourites are ENEMIES AS WEAPONS and CLAUSTROPHOBIA.

  9. moltanem2000 says:

God I hope we don’t get “Cloning” 50 Chronotron-esque games anybody?

  10. for those who think double zombie rainbow will be no good for the games, let me translate it for you:

    double – multiple/double/paired
zombie – infection/mindlessness/raised from the dead
rainbow – refraction of light through a prism/colours

even if you dont want to make a game that just involves double zombie rainbows (you crazy?) you can still make an interesting game :D

  11. Swords and Swordfighting is gone :(

Traps, Mental Illnessi and Evolution are my favourite ones left! Zombies and Double rainbows in one theme? I’m not sure there’s enough madness in me to twist that into a design!

  12. ExciteMike says:

    Personal Favorite: Flight.

Odds of that one making it are low, though :)

  13. edwardoka says:

    My thematic preferences are:

    1. Double zombie rainbow
    2. Hidden Depths
    3. Non-standard Game Over.

Anyone who votes for “Enemies as Weapons” will be shot.
    Survivors will be shot again.
Those survivors who subsequently turn into Double Zombie Rainbows will be shot again.

  14. devinmoore says:

I guarentee i can win on the bugs theme for “most literal interpretation of theme” haha.

  15. rAzzB1tcH says:

Hidden Depths is probably the best right now, but knowing you guys Double Zombie Rainbow will win. Either way I’m fine with it, as long as we get some cool games!
