Just wondering when we can look forward to a
results page like this one from MINI LD#19:
http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/mini-ld-19/
I’ve been loving trying out everyone’s games and
can’t wait to see how it all pans out! How do we vote?
Unfortunately I don’t think there is voting involved in mini-ld. If you check out this page http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/minild-20/?action=misc_links you’ll see everyone has got big fat zeros.
No results = no fun. MiniLD#19 had results! What a huge letdown.
To be honest, the whole thing kind of sucked. Don’t get me wrong, I had fun, having a reason to make something and get to see what other guys made and all, but there was no sense of community at work, and people’s comments among each other were minimal. And the guy who was supposed to be hosting this made three posts, leaving the impression that this was the least important thing in his life right now, even though I know this is not true and he was busy making his game work, but still there was almost no human interaction involved, which is other most fun part of compo aside from the satisfaction of creating something.
So, maybe having a vote with some results would make things appear more fun. Eh?
Hehe,…well! To be honest, for a miniLD it wasn’t that bad!(ICQ was as always full of people) And 23 entries is quite cool. I think the problem with the voting is, that once we got every month a voted contest, the “normal” LD wouldn’t be something special anymore,…actually I don’t know exactly what they want to change next LD. There was a discussion about some changes…. And poor GBGames had a power-off-exception
don’t be angry about him
