Crisis

I’m having a big gameplay direction crisis. I’m wondering if I’m not making the game too complex, and on the other hand I think making it simpler would make it a lot less interesting.

Plus the “musical ear” aspect. Should I expect players to be able to reproduce reasonably complex rythms, and how many different ones? This is hard :(

Plus I suck at art. Boo hoo.

    As a musically challenged but hardcore fan of rhythm games, I suggest making it as simple as you can, but maybe reward challenging rhythms with bonus powers or extras or something.

      Heh thanks =)

      It’s good advice. I’ll make the basic moves simple and “logical” so that they are easy to remember, and make the super powaas a lot longer and irregular.
      I’ll try to make a tutorial mode as well, to teach progressively the rythms.
