Done!
Huzzah, with over 1.5hr to go! So my Intestinal Cavity Explorer is now done. I even did some sounds in there.. Not sure if I should’ve, but at least it’s complete now..
Check the final version here.
Now off to eat.. (I almost forgot to eat on the last day; too focused
Thanks all, was a fun compo, though I still think there were far better themes =).
Too many bugs and too little time :-)

Exploration based hangman
I’m going to miss the deadline, but have had a great time.
My game is almost complete, but has several bugs that just make it a pain in the neck to play, so going to call it a day.
Some how managed to produce a version of hangman, but will save the details for a post later in the week.
Off to bed.
That’s it!
YEHA, finaly i manage to finish my entry.
It’s not as good as i thought it. That’s not a problem because i known it from the beginning, i was away all day Saturdays.
I’ve got to cut some feature and fly down with the gameplay, but i don’t think you will notice it too much, it’s a roguelike with “an exploration score”.
Congratulation to all people in the LD, this is my first time and i enjoy it very very much. Thanks all, c-ya next time!

Let me know what you think about it, that’s very important for me … and for the next time 8p
Finding Her – Finished!
I Have Failed…
I really hate to say this, but I can’t quite get it finished.
I’m throwing in the towel. I’m really sorry guys. I’m absolutely exhausted. I know my limits, and I’m past them.
It’s been really fun, but it’s time for me to retreat, lick my wounds, and try to get some rest.
It’s been fun, and I look forward to playing everyone’s games!
Submitted
Just submitted my game: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-16/?action=preview&uid=1556
It’s the same from my last post with a few bugfixes.
Nearly done!

This little mince pie is the reward I get when I finish my game. I’m not far off now
just over 2 hours left – I just hope I don’t balls it up ;^^
I Failed
After the hole distraction and time problem, because of the family, the friends and a party.
and the loss of a good preparation.
and some fixing problems i could solved faster if i would be well prepared.
I can say:
The gameplay is done.
Its very basic, you must go through a big labyrinth to find the big treasure and passing the dangers within this ruin.
The graphics are done.

Now all I need is… …well a Game.
I need to do a lot of mapping, the whole Story and the end sequence.
And i am tired as hell, and my body wants to nap since hours.
I still think its a good experience, and now I know where I need to improve.
But next time, I will come well prepared and with much more time.
now I can sleep
Sunday, December 13th, 2009 4:42 pmWhat an awesome weekend.
This competition has finally gotten me to complete a game. Until now I was a game-finishing virgin.
I want to thank all who were involved – it was great.
You can see my entry here:

I have no time and I must scream.
Since there’s no more time and I just managed to get combat working, I shall attempt to turn the game into the mother of all gratuitous battles in space and go for the theme “Unwinnable War” as a bonus.
We’ll see whether that works.
Phew!
Entry finished! These games aren’t easy to make, you know.
And I’m finished :D
So, submited my final entry. Source code with my gaming library is included (though, it doesn’t has that much yet). Now, I’m gonna grab some coffee and finish packing my stuff, or my father is going to kill me for don’t giving any thought to tomorrow’s travel
Good luck for the ones who’re still fighting to make it in time for the compo :3
EchoExplorer – Done!
Wooo… what a ride. With 2.5hrs to spare EchoExplorer has been submitted to LD #16. My first “real” LD. Total development time was around 30 hrs.
I’m really glad I was able to spend today just worrying about the little things. It’s given me the time to put a lot of small touches to the game including a proper ending. I’m quite pleased with the results. I’d love to hear your feedback.

Feels good man
And I’m DONE!
Lessons learned:
* Writing and maintaining a TODO list works really good for motivation. When I started doing that at the start of day 2, my productivity shot up through the roof
* You can’t make a roguelike in 48 hours. Roguelikes need balancing. But I tried!
* The Livestream chat ban function is broken. Why not just have ip banning?
* Coffee can be TOO strong
To everyone who submitted: Great job! I can’t wait to try your games!
To everyone who’s still working on their games: You can do it! Only a few minor tweaks left!
To the people who gave up: Boooo!
All done!
After many many hours of work, I finally polished out my game: with all of its 45 seconds of gameplay. ; ) I almost gave up at like noon on Saturday, and I’m very glad I didn’t.
Now I’m proud of myself and very, very hungry. Good luck to everyone! : )
You should give it a shot, promise it won’t take too long.

Well, this is the towel being thrown in.
I have maybe 6 more hours required before it’ll be worth playing, so towel being thrown in. Time to chillax, methinks.
I’m out.
Less than 3 hours to go and still nothing resembling interactivity.
Wizard needs sleep!
Well done to everyone who has finished, and good luck to those working up to the deadline.
Ed
3 hours to go, going well! :D
Sunday, December 13th, 2009 4:06 pmHooray! It now functions as an actual game, albeit without win/lose conditions or multiple levels. But still, progress! And if there’s one thing I need now, it’s progress.
I’m actually quite pleased with the player and monster graphics. 16×16 means you can do really rubbish drawing and it still looks OK. Hurrah!
Minimalistic pixely goodness…
… with a twist. Give it 4 minutes of your life and I’ll give you a smile.
