Anybody using UDK?

This fall the indie scene was given the gift of Unreal Development Kit for free. I haven’t been using it, but I am of course interested, and it seems to hold a lot of promise. The question is, do we have any LD participants utilising the latest tech from Epic?

Please share any thoughts on UDK and the viability for LD games. :-)

I’d wager a significant portion of people here have PCs that aren’t capable of running UE3 games. In principle I like the idea though: would lend things a greater diversity.

I’ve been looking at the UDK and considered it, but decided against it.

It would be like bringing a John Deere to dig a hole to plant that small palm in your front yard.

I beg to differ: it would be like using a bazooka to kill ants. In other words, impractical but AWESOME.

I actually worked with UE2 before and rather liked it, but haven’t played around with UE3 at all, so I’m going to pass on it this time. Next compo I might use it.
