Mini LD #14 – Have you got a date yet?

Posted by Terry
November 11th, 2009 10:12 pm

This month’s Mini LD is this weekend and the theme will announced this Friday. If you haven’t seen the post yet, it’s a team competition – to take part, you’ll need to find someone to collaborate with.

If you want to participate and haven’t found a partner yet, leave a personal ad in the comments! Let people know what you can do, and how much time you’ve got free this weekend :)

I’m considering it, but I don’t want to code. Leaning towards just doing audio for someone’s game, but I suppose I might be able to do some graphics as well. My plan is to inquire on IRC once the compo gets rolling, since there’s bound to be a bunch of people in the right mindset about.

I’ve got two people who are willing to help a little bit (some sprites and a song), but I’ll still be doing most of it. I hope that’s good enough? I’d be happy to let more folks join us if anybody is desperate to find a partner.

    Ludum Dare,

MiniLD #14 approaches, and I find myself alone. I require a partner (or a team! Kinky…), if only for the weekend! A Rubyist! A Pythonista! A tenacious (or tentative) Flash coder (”Flasher” ?) who shares my love for Flixel! A devious Musician! A slightly aging Pixel Pusher! All of the above, rolled into a happy indie-friendly ball of dev. In short, I need to find someone with verve and panache, or at least someone who knows what those words mean. A renaissance man (or woman), a coder-cum-artiste with a touch of whimsy and a slightly abnormal sleep schedule — that’s what we’re after here, folks. I’m certain that you all fit the bill. Perhaps more than you realize.

We’re going to do great things this weekend, great things. Things that make people go ‘whoa’ as they click. Or maybe ‘eh’. Or maybe we’ll do away with the clicking altogether. It’s hard to tell at this stage, really — my sense of manifest destiny ain’t what it used to be. At any rate, we are going to do things! This weekend!

    With a sense of foreboding,
    Trevor (doches)

Help wanted Artist/Designer/Programmer to team with programmer must work weekends for FREE…

Well I would be interested in teaming up with someone, I’ve mainly used the BlitzMax language previously but I’m in the process of learning Unity (very early stages), mainly a programmer although I can produce simple vector artwork check out my website for examples http://arowx.com (all my own work!).

    Kind Regards

    Al

Looking for a teammate to make something in Flash and/or Flex. I can take comedy or tragedy, you take the other.

Generally my goal as a developer is to artistically shoot for the unusual and/or weird, even if the game ends up neither fun and/nor sensical. Anyone game? Please respond here or shoot me a message at davidrlorentz@gmail.com.
