Mini Ludum Dare #14, Find a Partner!
Heya Ludum Dare!
So it looks like I’m hosting this month’s Mini Ludum Dare. I’m going to suggest the weekend of the 13th-15th as the date, though if you’d like to participate and that doesn’t suit, speak up and we’ll find something that works for everyone.
[edit: ok, since there's been no major objections, let's make it final - November the 13th-15th it is!]
I’ll post the theme that Friday. For now, I’d like to announce a rule change – Ludum Dare and Mini Ludum Dares are normally solo challenges; for this one though, you are required to collaborate! Get on the IRC channel, find someone else who wants to take part and agree to work together! Any number of people can contribute to a project in any capacity – the only restriction is that you cannot work alone.

Interesting. If I enter it’ll be with a buddy of mine doing art, I think. Alternately, if anybody else is looking for a partner, I can do some coding.

Sorry if I may have ruined your initial plans, but people are always asking when there’s going to be a team compo. I’m on IRC if you want to give me any hints so I can avoid ruining it any more.
And just to be clear that’s entry voting, not theme voting. Again, I hope whatever theme you had in mind will still work with more people and some voting.

Great idea and I’m so bummed I can’t make this Mini LD as I have things going on that whole weekend.. oh well.

Oh, and I’ve looked over the wiki and such, but am a bit confused by time zones (being in Korea). What time, exactly, will the theme be announced, and what time exactly does development start and end–and in what time zone? Will the theme be posted on this site, or only in IRC? Sorry, haven’t taken part in one of these before.
With a mini ludum dare, things are a bit looser – there’s no exact start or end time. Just find 48 hours that weekend! I’ll post something and announce the theme that friday morning in my timezone, so really it should be plenty of time.
