Meh, Theme Wins
June 28th, 2009 11:12 amI give up theme, you win. I just couldn’t keep up my motivation. The theme made it impossible for me to come up with something fun to play. I also think the RPG ideas was flawed because I couldn’t figure out how to earn xp without it becoming too gruesome.
Lesson learned: some themes just aren’t meant to be fun.

awwww
Cheerful agreement, MrPhil. I stared at my screen, moving bits of python around aimlessly, for at least two hours trying to come up with something. But I knew, _knew_, that I’d just get sucked down by self-doubt halfway through if I got something started.
Spent the weekend doing real work, instead, which was marginally more satisfying than simulated wife-beating.
(Oops)
That said, props to increpare for one hell of an edgy theme. If I’d a decent idea I’d have run with it, and been super-pleased. It just didn’t work out, ok? It’s not you, it’s me. And so on.
What’s wrong with gruesome?
I like the theme. I don’t think anyone needs to enter, though.
More millions of dollars in prize money for the rest of us, amirite men?
