Planning on participating in this, just have one question. I plan on using Construct and would like to know if the premade behaviors are allowed in the contest. But anyway, should be fun.

    Hi.

First of all, the theme will be voted for, you can’t just pick one.

Second, everything (apart from helper libraries with no gameplay elements) must be made from scratch during the contest.

Of course nothing stops you from cheating, but there’s little to gain..

Hehe,…Construct seems to be something like a game-creator:

Heres the Construct website – http://scirra.com/

It seems like their may be a few others using it, too.

    Also, I didn’t just pick a theme…

    I would say so

    “CONSTRUCT
A free open-source DirectX game creator
    with a powerful drag-and-drop interface,
    making game development easy.”

    From their site

I mean the line can get blurred these days – but this one calls itself a game creator and not a programming environment or language.

My guess is it will at least come under serious scrutiny (although my opinion carries no official weight)

Well, as long as creators like UNITY and GAMEMAKER are mentioned as officially allowed there shouldn’t be a problem with CONSTRUCT as well. Only thing to consider is not to use AI-Modules or premade content.

heh, pardon me for misunderstanding =)
