Hey,
I think this weekend would be a great weekend for the production of the Ludum Dare Christmas Album! So rev up your recording equipment / tracker .. and put together a swell Christmas track! Post links to your tunes in the comments of this entry!

here’s mine. who knows, maybe i’ll make the next. this was my first experiment messing around with garageband. It has all sorts of loops, so it was mostly cut-n-paste. Just used the internal laptop mic to record the sound, not half bad!

Xmas Album Ahoy !
Since I’ve been playing with Korg DS-10 on the Nintendo DS lately … here’s one done with that:

Okay, actually .. that’s two. They are only slightly different, but I can’t decide which is less annoying.
Well, I am presenting an instrumental version of my classic, Christmas Shopping. My official singer has a sore throat today, so I couldn’t release the full version, and the song is pretty weak with no lyrics. So I ask that you sing it yourself! It’s a holiday classic that will be caroled from coast to coast next year, so get a jump start and learn it now.

The chorus is the short part that goes fast, the verses are the long slower parts (you hear the verse music at the beginning of the song, though you are supposed to start singing at the first chorus):
(chorus)
Christmas Shopping
Pain in the rear
Planning to go
early next year
(verses)
We’re Christmas shopping
Parked in the far lot
Time for some walking
In the cold
Santa’s at the mall
Not at the north pole
You want a football
You get coal
Shoppers are fighting
Tempers are rising
Everyone’s buying
Wal-mart crap
Went Christmas shopping
Bought stuff on a lark
Now we are stopping
Where’d we park?
I, uh, made.. this.
